More InformationThe customer was faced with the challenge of modernizing an aging robot system with an outdated KUKA KRC1 controller. Due to a lack of spare parts and limited support from the original system manufacturer, reliable operation was no longer guaranteed. Implementation was made more difficult by a lack of digital system data, limited space and the need for a precise as-is survey on site. In addition, new components had to be integrated into the Existing system and all disassembly and assembly work can be carried out under demanding mechanical and static conditions.
After a comprehensive Detail shot the local and technical conditions at the customer's premises a workspace analysis could be carried out in the simulation program. The Preliminary acceptance was carried out at fpt robotics in order to the production standstill for the Disassembly and assembly on site as low as possible for the customer. The existing KR 125/1 robot was replaced by the KUKA-Robots Quantec KR 150 R2700-2 incl. KUKA KRC5 controller. Likewise was a new gripping system withdeliveredt.
