The FPT Story
Why FPT – Future Philosophy in Technology? Only those who have a vision are able to cope with ever new challenges. We are convinced: A high quality level combined with a future-oriented way of thinking is the only way to safeguard the medium-scale business sector in the long run. And this is the only way how we can ensure a sustained advancement of Germany as an industrial place. This is what we have been working for since FPT was established, i.e. since 1981.
Perhaps more than just courage, but also a good deal of happy-go-lucky and, above all, a lot of creativity were involved when Managing Director Hermann Müller founded the FPT Robotik company.
Anyway, this is precisely the blend which has made us what we are today: An innovative manufacturer of robots and system solutions. Among our
customers are renowned companies such as LAMY, Siemens, Bosch and Ravensburger Spiele.
The FPT team has also established important cooperations. Among our
partners are Arburg, Bobst, Schmalz, SSI Schäfer Noell, the FGK pharmaceutical board packaging research organisation, Uhlmann, Bosch, IMA and IWKA.
In a word, future-oriented thinking has proven to be worth while. Finding niches. Developing permanently. Why should we change our approach in the future?
Today, we employ a highly motivated
team of 50 employees at our site in Amtzell. We have offered a sound career basis to more than 47 trainees. The succession in management has already been arranged by anticipation – and the creative potential thereby expanded – with Mr. Dieter Steinhauser (FPT Project Managing Director) and Mr. Harald Gläss (FPT Systems Managing Director).
A conclusion of the story? Robots can do a lot of things. But no matter how intelligently they may work: They cannot think themselves. Thinking remains our privilege, our highest asset – and it is our opportunity for the future.
